Chalet Cragganmore sleeps 12 on a self catered-basis.

Chalet Cragganmore is the sublime work of leading local architect, Renault Chevallier, the youngest of a family of talented architects, who all hail from Chamonix and share a devoted passion about the area. Built using locally sourced, traditional wood and stone materials, Cragganmore is a hyper modern structure built in an innate and traditional manner. Expansive, single paned windows drop from floor to ceiling all around the structure, cascading delightful views into the open spaces and giving the impression of the outside world coming in.

The ground and first floor rooms lead off a large oak-beamed hallway, the centrepiece of which is a spiral staircase forged from galvanised steel. The living area also brings together traditional and modern materials. Oak, steel and glass combine to create a visually striking, yet cosy room, arranged around a cleverly designed suspended fireplace. There has been no restraint when it comes to creature comforts either; each of the six bedrooms has an en-suite bath and shower room and its own balcony or terrace with views of the mountains. And the whole building is warmed by underfloor heating.

When you return to the chalet at the end of the day, if you haven’t already expended enough energy skiing, biking, walking or golfing, you could go for a work out in the fully equipped cardio and conditioning gym, or test your skills in the purpose built climbing area. Alternatively, you could ease your aches and pains in the sauna, sip cocktails in the outdoor hot tub or just kick back in front the big screen in our home cinema.
