St Anton is one of those iconic ski resorts. Its name features in most top tens, or even top fives, except those guiding beginners about where to master the snow plough. Within its traditional timber clad walls, you find four individual apartments, all gorgeously alpine chic and finished to the highest quality. Two occupy whole floors with space for 10 to 12 guests. The ground floor has two apartments for six guests each. They share the warming ambiance that Austria does so well and make it elegant. Carefully chosen furniture and artwork echo the alpine theme with original twists like the magnificent circular sofa in one of the large apartments and the wood carving displaying the piste map that adorns a whole wall. Distressed timber conveys tradition without making things dark and lounges are elegant without formality. Bathrooms adjoin all the bedrooms and use natural stone to create sybaritic havens fragrant with luxury toiletries. For further therapeutic indulgence, the apartments share a wellness area with a spacious sauna and a massage room where aches and pains will melt away. There is also fitness, with a treadmill, a rowing machine and a spinning bike in case you haven’t pushed yourself to your physical limits on St Anton’s demanding ski slopes, which is unlikely except on a cloudy day.

Chalet Fabiola is all about catering to your needs, tailor-making the arrangements, and that includes the catering. It is possible to arrange breakfast or the chalet organises an excellent meal delivery serivce. It’s up to you. St Anton is, after all, one of the ultimate skiing destinations.
