Chalet Carriaz is sending out the invitation and the party is going to be epic. Of course, we are talking ski holiday epic, not nights in an Ibiza nightclub. The thing about Chalet Carriaz is that it accommodates up to fourteen guests and does so with a flourish - in comfort and style. No compromises on sleeping space here. There are seven double bedrooms and every one of those has its own bathroom. There is living space aplenty for everyone to spread out and for all fourteen of you to come together to dine around a magnificent table in the dining room with its open kitchen. All your favourite winter sports buddies, or the two or three skiing families in whose company snow days always sparkle, can be on the list.

Chalet Carriaz is on the edge of Méribel Village, far enough away from the bustle to appreciate the mountains and yet close to amenities including a bakery and a shop for groceries. The closest lift is the Télésiège du Golf approximately 5 minutes’ walk (350m) away. It offers the flexibility to do your own thing and go completely self-catered, or you can order a continental breakfast to be delivered daily to help the smooth exit for the slopes.

Its 380sqm of space is distributed generously with lots of wide windows making bright rooms that are cossetted by walls and floors of weathered timber. Spacious living on the ground floor has that kitchen and dining area and then another area with sofas around a fireplace and TV. A large terrace faces south west with panoramic views that can be enjoyed from the outdoor hot tub (what ski party deserves the label of epic without an outdoor hot tub).

Four of the bedrooms are on the lower ground floor and each has an en-suite with an independent WC. Two more bedrooms are on the first floor where there is another open plan living room, with its kitchen, lounge area and dining table that seats six. Up at the top, another bedroom with a balcony and a small sitting-room are cosily under the sloping eaves.

Chalet Carriaz really thought it through before extending the invitation to fourteen guests. Its space and its comfort levels can confidently welcome so large a party without compromise. There is attention to detail that helps iron out those potential discomforts that can scratch the surface of an otherwise joyful ambiance. That extra living and, sometimes importantly, cooking space. In addition, of those seven bathrooms, for six of them the WC is independent the other in its own bathroom. And there is an additional guest toilet. These things can matter when fourteen people are heading out to hit the slopes! For the other end of the day, there are four bath tubs as well as lots of showers. And, of course, that hot tub on the terrace with the dreamy views across forests and up to where alps meet sky. Go get that bottle of bubbly (or two - there are a lot of you) and jump right in!
